Risk disclosure

Trading futures and forex is risky, and you can lose money. Please read this page before you trade with, or act on anything you learn from, PowerFib.

The short version

  • You can lose all of the money you put in, and with futures, more than you put in.
  • PowerFib does not promise or guarantee that you will make a profit, or any result at all.
  • Results and charts we show are examples. Past results do not predict future results, and simulated results are hypothetical.

Risk disclosure

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one’s financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading, and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight, and do not involve financial risk. Risks that come with software and automation

  • PowerFib runs on your own computer, inside NinjaTrader 8, through your broker and data feed. A crash, a frozen platform, a lost connection, bad data, a power cut or a platform update can stop it working as you expect, including leaving an order or a position unmanaged.
  • Stops and targets are not guaranteed to fill at the price you set. In fast or thin markets, and across gaps, fills can be much worse than the price on the order. A stop order becomes a market order when it triggers.
  • Automation does exactly what its settings say. A wrong setting, a drawing on the wrong swing, the wrong contract or the wrong size can send orders you did not intend. Test on a simulated account first, and watch it while it is live. You can always step in from Chart Trader.
  • Simulated and Market Replay trading differ from live trading: fills, liquidity, slippage and timing are not the same, so sim results are not a forecast of live results.
  • Default values, tested values and example settings in the guides and videos are starting points for learning. They are not recommendations for your account, your market or your risk.

No feature, setting, strategy, tool, video, chart, post, testimonial or other content from PowerFib is a promise or a guarantee of profit, or a prediction of future results. Any trading can lose money, including your whole account and, with leveraged products such as futures, more than you deposited.

What happens to you depends on your own decisions and settings, your risk management, your broker and platform, market conditions, and many factors outside anyone's control.

Nothing on this website, in our software, or in our videos, posts or community is an offer or a solicitation to buy or sell futures, forex or any other instrument.

Hypothetical performance

Charts, trades and results shown on this website, in videos, and on social media may come from simulated trading, backtests or Market Replay. All of those are hypothetical. Where we can, we say whether a result is live or simulated. A live trade shown as an example was chosen to explain how a setting works. It is not a record of all trades, and it does not show what you would have achieved.
