Three steps: import the add-on, draw a PowerFib Retracement on your chart, and attach the strategy. Takes a couple of minutes.

Import the add-on

Download and save your PowerFib zip file. There’s no need to unzip or modify it. In the NinjaTrader Control Center, choose Tools → Import → NinjaTrader Add-On and select the zip.

You’ll get a short message, “Import Successful.” Restart NinjaTrader if it asks you to.

Draw a PowerFib Retracement

PowerFib adds its own drawing tool — PowerFib Retracement — rather than reusing NinjaTrader’s stock Fibonacci tool. It looks and behaves like a normal retracement, but it’s what marks the swing the strategy trades and builds the volume profile from.

Open the chart you want to trade, right-click it, and choose Drawing Tools → PowerFib Retracement. Pick your two anchor points the way you would with any fib — the swing low and high you want to trade.

Want a hotkey for it? Assign one in Tools → Options → Hot Keys; PowerFib doesn’t set one by default.

There’s nothing to rename and no template to load — the drawing is PowerFib’s own from the moment you place it, and the strategy finds it automatically. If a chart has more than one PowerFib drawing, the strategy trades whichever you drew or moved most recently; see the drawing tool settings guide for what to check before your first trade, particularly the fib level set.

Attach the strategy

Right-click the chart and choose Strategies. Find PowerFib in the list and double-click it — that opens its Properties window.

You’re ready to set it up. Continue to strategy settings.

Sharing your trades (optional)

The first time NinjaTrader starts with PowerFib installed, it asks once whether you’d like to share your completed trades. Sharing helps make PowerFib better and lets us add and update features as markets change. It sends each trade’s fills, P&L and settings — never your account name, number or password — and nothing is sent unless you say yes.

If you say yes, enter the email of your NinjaTrader account — the one you use at checkout. It’s how your installation is matched to your purchase. NinjaTrader doesn’t share it with add-ons, so it’s asked for once, and only a one-way code made from it ever leaves your computer.

Change your mind any time in Control Center → PowerFib → Recording: untick Record my trades to stop, or press Delete my data to remove everything already sent. Sharing only starts once you’ve bought PowerFib; nothing is kept during the trial. The details are in our privacy notice.
