The strategy

Draw the swing. PowerFib trades it.

The fib you draw becomes a complete, rule-driven trade: an entry confirmed on the close, a stop that trails behind structure instead of a fixed tick count, and targets on the market’s own measured moves.

How a trade runs

  1. 01

    Draw the swing

Click PowerFib on the chart toolbar and anchor the swing. The levels and the swing’s volume profile appear at once, and the strategy finds the drawing by itself.

  2. 02

    Set your plan

Pick the entry level and one or two target levels, how the first stop is placed and how it trails, and how many contracts go to each target.

  3. 03

    Wait for the market

When price reaches your level, PowerFib waits for a candle to reject it and close back your way - and, if you choose, only takes levels the volume profile agrees with.

  4. 04

    The trade manages itself

The stop and targets go in with the entry. The stop trails behind structure as price moves your way and tightens as the target nears; the first target banks profit, the runner goes for more.

  5. 05

    Step in any time

Chart Trader buttons move the stop to break-even, tighten it, or close the trade. Entries can be paused with one click, and positions close at the end of the session by default.

The whole plan, on one panel

Every setting lives in NinjaTrader’s own strategy window, opened from your chart, in the order you plan a trade.

  1. Direction. Long or short - with the swing, or against it. Buy the pullback into the retracement, or take the reversal: on a swing down, long from the 200 extension back to 38.2.
  2. Levels. Classic, ICT, Sexy AF or a Custom set of your own. Enter at any level and target any other - a shallow 19.1, the golden pocket, or out on an extension.
  3. Two targets and a runner. Turn on Target 2 and the position splits: bank part at the first target and let the rest run to a further extension.
  4. The first stop. From the most room to the least: a set number of fib levels back, beyond the last swing, beyond the setup candle, or a fixed tick count. Placed by the market’s structure, not a guess.
  5. The trail. Step the stop along the fib levels, move it behind each new fractal pivot, or trail it through the volume profile - shelf to shelf, or tucked into the low-volume gap behind price. A trail you won’t find on a fixed-tick bracket.
  6. Tighten near the target. As price closes in, the stop pulls in tight behind it - at a set share of the way, or at the last high-volume shelf before the target. A near miss keeps most of the move.
  7. Entry mode. Every entry is confirmed on the close. Go further and only take levels that line up with the swing’s value area or a high-volume node - two reasons for price to turn, at one price.
  8. Single Trade Mode. One trade, win or lose, then it stands down.
  9. Manual controls. B/E moves the stop to your entry plus the ticks you set, and never pulls back a stop that’s already past it. Enter, exit, tighten or pause entries from Chart Trader - scalp by hand or let it trade the swing.
  10. Display. Open P&L and the trade’s risk-to-reward in Chart Trader, and a line where the tighten stop will switch on.

Save it as a NinjaTrader template and the next chart starts with the same plan. Every setting is explained in the strategy guide.

All of it for $20 a month.

Trailing by fib level, fractal pivot and volume profile; value area and high-volume-node confluence; two targets and a runner; the Chart Trader panel - every feature, in every plan. Or $279 once, for good.

  • A NinjaTrader Ecosystem vendor. Licences, trials and updates run through NinjaTrader’s own vendor system.
  • Native to NinjaTrader 8. Runs inside the platform on your machine. No bridge, no cloud service placing your orders.
  • Protected from the first fill. Every entry goes in with its stop and targets attached.
  • The plan holds. An open trade stays on the swing it was taken from. Drawing a new fib can’t move its stop or targets.
  • You can always step in. Enter, exit, move to break-even or tighten the stop from Chart Trader at any time.
  • Tested widely. Backtested across NinjaTrader’s supported instruments, from 500-tick to daily charts.
